Rebecca Harrison Reed is a children’s book author/illustrator based in Annapolis, MD. She holds a BFA in printmaking, an MFA in painting and printmaking, and also studied fine art and art history at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. Her work has been published in magazines and picture books, and she is the recipient of the IPPY and Moonbeam Awards, as well as the SCBWI New York Showcase Grand Prize.
Rebecca’s artwork has always been narrative, and it is inspired by her love of a good story. She creates her strongest work when she is able to develop a deep passion for the characters, story, and setting in the books she illustrates and writes. She focuses on subject matters that are classical, historical, or mysterious and enjoys escaping completely into the worlds she creates for her characters. Rebecca is represented by Adria Goetz of P.S. Literary Agency.
