I am a freelance illustrator in focusing on portraits, editorial, advertising and book illustration. I have a passion for using portraiture to highlight activists and change-makers from around the world. Using bold color, unique textures, strong silhouettes and a realistic style, my artwork captures the spirit and energy of the person. I aim to create unique images that convey the humanity and authenticity of my subjects, using research and conceptual elements that support the main theme.
My work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators LA, American Illustration, Communication Arts, 3×3 Magazine, Society of Illustrators NY, and Creative Quarterly. In 2021, I illustrated a 40-page picture book, Adventures of Jackie. I’m excited to have a new 32-page picture book, How to Climb a Mountain, coming out in April 2024.
I have taught Digital Illustration as an Adjunct Professor at Montserrat College of Art since the Fall of 2022. I received my BFA in Illustration from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, an MA in Early Childhood Development from Lesley University, and an MFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford.
