Donivan Howard

Donivan Howard was born in Detroit Michigan receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from the prestige’s Art Center College of Design and the highly recognized Masters of Fine Art degree from the esteemed California State University Fullerton.

By achieving his career in Entertainment, Illustration, and Fine Art, the notable Illustration Showcase (Luzar Archives) has awarded Donivan Howard as International 200 World Best Artist and Illustrator. Along with his work having been shown in group shows and museums across the country from The New Mexico Museum of Art to Mason Fine art Gallery in Atlanta Gorgia. Donivan Howard’s work is represented in entertainment art and education as an illustrator, and layout artist. His work is seen in such Disney films such as Treasure Planet, Emperor’s New Groove, and Fantasias 2000. He has been Art Directing equity diverse illustration, and design problems for his founding company Navinod Creations LLC. Donivan has acquired a client list for his illustrative art from studios such as Rhythm and Hues, Hyperion Animation, Terrific Studios and BRC Theme Park Designs. He has acquired a proficient and contemporary skill in drawing and painting leading to Teaching and mentoring across the country at Universities and private Colleges. His brand of community teaching has led him, and his studio to the premier Cypress College in Cypress California as an Associate Professor of Studio Art. Cypress College is where he has developed the Equity Alliance in Illustrative Art lecture, and career pathway series for students of color. He serves on and co-developed the committee L.E.A.D. Leveraging Excellence and Dreams. A scholarship and emergency fund for African American students in need at Cypress College. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity INC, CCA College Art Association and the Society of Illustrators New York and LA.
