“Tzenko is a Stockholm, Sweden based Swedish-Bulgarian illustrator
who often resides in Los Angeles, California.
He has worked as a professional illustrator since 2001.

Part of his youth, he lived in Havana, Cuba, where he started developing an interest in aesthetical matters. Later on he joined preparatory Art classes in The Art Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, followed by studies in Visual Communication at AKI ArtEZ University of the Arts, Enschede, the Netherlands. After graduation from the AKI, he lived and worked in Amsterdam for a few years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He explains his interest in illustration and the work of visualizing texts as follows:
…..– When I can “crack the code”, that is, to come up with a concept for an illustration that works well and at the same time apply my aesthetic vision, then I am satisfied and the illustration achieves its purpose.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alongside his illustration assignments he works on his own ideas and projects, which have been shown in several exhibitions throughout the years.”
