Rebecca J. Jones was a scholarship student at East Carolina University from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Following graduation, she joined Out of Our Minds Animation Studios in North Carolina. Since then, she has been an integral part of the studio’s success in a wide variety of projects ranging from television, film, virtual reality, and the web.
Her illustration, production, and directorial efforts have resulted in numerous awards individually as well as for the studio including over 300 “Best of” awards, more than 500 film festival selections, 2 Hollywood International Film Festival “Best of” awards, and a BAFTA (British Academy Awards) nomination in 2004. In 2013, she became a partner/owner of the studio and in 2023, was elected to be the President.
Besides her responsibilities at the studio, she is an active board member of the Visual Art League of Lewisville in North Texas, where she resides, a board member of the Young Men’s Service Club: Integrity Chapter, as well as a member of 4 other art guilds/leagues/societies including the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles.

HEY!!!
Created for a solo gallery show called “Voices”.
We all have that person in our lives who makes us smile the second we see them.
You know…The one who greets you every time with the biggest “HEY!!!! SO GLAD to see you!”

Breaks
Everyone has their take on masks.
Frustration about wearing them (for and against), sadness from losing loved ones,
the mental side from OCD to Anxiety, job loss, politics and so many more.
My heart goes out to all deeply affected by the pandemic and a special thanks to the
doctors and paramedics who were/are on the front lines.

Pointless!
Frustrated. “Why am I doing this? This is pointless!”
The world is challenging, broken, and explosive; however, through art,
we dive deeper with curious and open minds to explore the world.
We find unheard voices and amazing stories that illustrate life; hopefully,
seeing those pointless things are not pointless at all.

personality and what they are driven by.

Ms. Penny’s Place
