“I am delighted that my work ‘Paper Mom’ received the Silver Award in the Children’s Market category. The inspiration for this illustration stemmed from a personal moment. While listening to the song ’53º 40,6 N 008º 06,3 E’ by Sangre de Muerdago, I was struck by its gentle melody, evoking memories of love and nostalgia, particularly for my mother. Simultaneously, I noticed a tissue on my desk, symbolizing softness and comfort. This inspired me to convey a tender, healing love through the character of paper.”
