Xiaoyan Sun is a freelance illustrator based in New York City. She has collaborated with literary magazines from different countries such as Popshot and The Middle Schoolers. Her creativity and understanding of art have been recognized by major international awards such as the World Illustration Award, Society of Illustrators 65, Illustration West 62, and Communication Arts.
Xiaoyan primarily creates her artwork digitally, using bright colors, soft graphics, and rich textures to bring to life the fantastical world within her imagination. Her works deeply engage with the audience, immersing a whimsical atmosphere. In her spare time, Xiaoyan enjoys origami, crocheting, and spending time with her beloved pet turtle, Sandao (named after a Chinese traditional dessert).
