Kit Seaton

My primary works are fantasy comics with challenging themes for young adults. Dark fairytales and folklore were favorite subjects of my sister and I when we were young, and we told scary stories to keep each other awake at night. That fascination with fantasy and ghost stories has continued into my professional career in the form of collaborative graphic novels, including my continued story projects with my sister. Fantasy continues to be a popular form of escapism, which can feel like a necessity for young adults in this turbulent age. With a wealth of content and media to choose from, it can be tough to stand out. I bring a background of theatre as well as an interest in world history and cultural mythology, which contributes to the eclectic look of my work. More than just aesthetics, I understand that characters should grow from their narrative experiences. The stakes should matter by having a profound psychological effect on the main character, and builds throughout the story’s progress. This is the thesis of my approach to visual storytelling: to create compelling and emotionally intelligent stories that compel readers to return again and again, while offering tools to navigate a complex world.

Chuck Grieb

Be careful what you say to your children. Watching Ray Harryhausen’s Jason and the Argonaughts with his father, four year old Chuck Grieb asked how the skeletons “came alive”. His father’s answer, “They got skinny actors” led the boy to a quest for the truth and a lifelong love for the fantastic.

Inspired by old stories, the world around him, and many artists who have come before Chuck Grieb enjoys creating fantastical imagery.

Currently a full time teacher, Chuck continues to create art and animation, pursuing his love for storytelling and the magic he felt when seeing Ray Harryhausen’s skeletons come alive. Most recently, Chuck has been exploring illustrative art, his work having been featured in esteemed publications including Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art, Infected By Art, and Exposé.
