Twins Anna and Elena Balbusso are internationally recognized award winning illustrators team with a unique signature ANNA+ELENA=BALBUSSO whose work has been published by major publishers and companies through out the world on various media types such as book jackets, magazines, newspapers including The New York Times and The New Yorker Magazine, in house corporate, ads, children’s books and classic novels. They have illustrated over thirty books.
They have received many awards, including THE JOSEPH MORGAN HENNINGER AWARD – BEST OF SHOW 2015 – SILA Illustration West 53, THE ANDERSEN PRIZE BEST ILLUSTRATORS OF 2015, 34th EDITION. It is the most coveted award given to children’s publishing in Italy. In 2013 They were named the Winners of the V&A Illustration Awards – best book – by The Victorian and Albert Museum of London for our illustrations “Eugene Onegin” by A. Pushkin, The Folio Society 2012. They have been awarded three consecutive GOLD MEDALS (2011-2012-2013) in the book category of the Society of Illustrators NYC, three SILVER MEDALS of the 3×3 International Annual Illustration Pro Show, nine AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE of the Communication Arts Magazine, two AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE of the Applied Arts Magazine, one AWARD OF EXCELLENCE of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
