I came to LA in 1979 to attend Art Center as an illustration major. When I graduated from art school, my portfolio was all over the place- cartoons, rendering, fashion sketches…I just couldn’t commit to a single style.
After many years freelancing as a storyboard artist in advertising, I had a chance to do some concept art for Disney Imagineering…Comps and storyboards to the rescue! I found that in the comp world, I was actually encouraged to work in many different styles. I’ve been a concept designer at Disney Imagineering now for almost 20 years and variety is still my mantra. Posters, concept sketches, storyboards, show design… pretty good for guy who can’t commit!
I don’t take on any freelance work at this time but do draw and paint for pleasure in my spare time.
