Peter Cassell is an illustrator from the San Francisco Bay Area. His work is character-driven, and in recent years he has pushed his style to incorporate caricature. He approaches his work determined to create intriguing composition, color and design, as well as developing images conceptually to provide a meaningful exploration into the subject matter. As a native Bay Area resident, he studied illustration and design at SJSU, then worked for a design agency for over 20 years before going freelance. He has worked for a variety of tech clients like Adobe (he created the iconic Illustrator 10 signature image, among others) Cisco, Zynga, Nomadic VR, Zscaler, as well as consumer brands like California Olive Ranch, Capcom, Stanford Health Care and the Los Angeles Times. His most recent work has been recognized by 3×3 Magazine, American Illustration, SI 65, and SILA’s Illustration West 58, 59 & 60, the last of which he was awarded a bronze for his caricature of John Oliver.
