I grew up in Cuba under the very rational approach of soviet education that strongly influenced the Cuban educational system. But I was always looking for an edge, a fantastic, magical, unreal edge to all the tangible things around me. Living in an island and wondering what could be beyond that wall of water that surrounded us gave me a motive and a push to travel. I was always passionate about stories both told or read so I started drawing all the impossible things in the real world: from magical folk people to robots and making stories about them. With time that passion became a profession and here I am today, many decades later and still trying to keep that innocent spark of imagination alive.
