SILA Member News: Mark Pestana is Exhibiting at Gallery ‘N’ Gifts through Nov. 29
Mark is a Research Pilot for NASA at Edwards Air Force Base, California. He is also an award-winning artist member of the Society of Illustrators, Los Angeles; the American Society of Aviation Artists; and the USAF Art Program. He flew 213 combat reconnaissance missions, and served in the Space Shuttle Program. He helped develop the International Space Station, and flew research missions for aeronautics and Earth science programs. He’s logged over 5000 flight hours in supersonic jets, heavy transports, turboprops, sailplanes, and remotely-piloted UAVs. His art includes paintings, logo design, and book cover art. Mark has the honor of designing 9 Space Shuttle Mission patches for the astronauts.
